Recent Reviews Larsen's Restaurants
- Fransco Sukarto (6 months ago):
My new favorite steakhouse in the Valley. There are not many good choices so I'm glad I don't have to drive out to enjoy a good steak. While the food is of high quality and well-prepared and presented, it was the service and the ambience that stood out. Simply one of the best and most efficient service I've ever had at any restaurant. There were about 4 main servers handling about 15 tables, yet we never had any delay in service. It's pricey for sure, but somehow I didn't feel jibbed (sorry, Fleming's across the street)
- Louie Garcia (a month ago):
Went here for a birthday dinner and it honestly exceeded my expectations. The steak was cooked exactly the way I asked, super tender and full of flavor, and the mashed potatoes were just as good. We also grabbed dessert and it was the perfect way to end the meal. The staff made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in and never made us feel rushed. Yeah, it's a little pricey, but for a special night out it's totally worth it. I'd definitely come back the next time I'm celebrating something.

Brought a client here for dinner and it worked perfectly for that context. The private room option is ideal when you want a quieter setting for conversation, asked for it specifically and they accommodated without issue. We both ordered the dry-aged ribeye and the kitchen delivered exactly what you'd want when impressing someone, well-presented, properly cooked, sides that come family-style so there's a natural sharing dynamic. The wine list is extensive and the sommelier made a recommendation that was exactly right for the meal. Service was smooth and professional throughout. This is the kind of place that makes you look good for choosing it.

I'll make this quick and simple 🤙🏽 Food, savory. Their steaks are one of the best in town ✅ Service, great ✅ Make a reservation to avoid waiting ✅ If you want a booth, consider reserving a couple months ahead. My wife and I tried a month prior to the Valentine's Day and they couldn't get us any. ‼️ There's a convenient parking lot on the same level. ✨

8/28/2025 - Today is the last day of Aug. 2025 Happy Hour at the price in 2016, but each regular sliders at a normal Happy Hour has 3 pieces. The standout dish that deserves a 5-star rating is Waygu Beef Slides $8.95 because the meat is juicy, tender and tasty. This wedge salad can be considered healthy, which comes with a variety of toppings as garnish without a heavy dressing. The crab cake at $9.95 is the lowest price you can't find anywhere, e.g., an identical item at STK Steakhouse costs you $42.00 each. 8/14/2025 - Decided to visit Larsen's Steakhouse to compare the Ribeye I had at Fahrenheit 555 Steakhouse on a cruise ship recently. The 18 oz RIB EYE is the best - I have not yet had this kind of RIB EYE for a long time because it is not only aged, but also tender, juicy and tasty, which easily beats the same Ribeye I had at a special dining restaurant on the aforementioned cruise ship. HERB CRUSTED JIDORI CHICKEN BREAST is also a 5-star dish, whose champagne wild mushroom sauce on a bed of wild rice is so delicious and addicting - it is not easy to find the above two dishes today. The service from our waiter Brandon is excellent but his busser never come to our table once until I asked him to refill the hot water, but he never delivered it, however, he stop at the table just next to us 7 times to help two of them constantly - I took a closer look at that table and found out one of the two might be a movie star. It is worth noting that the hostess was very nice to everyone and even delivered the hot water for us at the very beginning - 5 stars. Bt the way, we ordered the starter, Combo Platter (Hamachi, Steelhead, Kanpachi), but was told that it is no longer available due to the current tariffs per our waiter - this steakhouse no longer carry it anymore. So we selected Hamachi Crudo. By looking at the menu, a 50% reduction from the SUSHI/CRUDOS section due to the reason of tariffs. Since we will come back again, we decided to visit the Costco nearby to purchase a LS gift card of $200 for the price of $149.99
- Paul G (Edited 11 months ago):
Food is very good. The experience of being there not so good. We went for a dining experience and received just the opposite. I could have cooked an equally good dinner at home for 1/5 the price and had a much better time. The hostess thanked us when seating us for being nice to her even though we waited 35 minutes for a table, even with a reservation. The indifferent waiter was AWOL most of the time. Even when it wasn't busy in the restaurant. After waiting 35 minutes to get seated it took another 30 minutes to get a waiter and get a drink. The waiter seemed to be stuck in the 50s as well. When he asked if I wanted the wedge salad whole or chopped and I said whole he said , "the manly way". When he delivered the filet to me and the sea bass to my girlfriend and I switched the plates to the correct person he said, "I'm sorry usually the man gets the steak". We had to pile plates on top of each other and place them at the end of the table for anyone to pick them up as they sat dirty in front of us for 15 minutes. Between salads and dinner my girlfriend wanted another glass of wine. We couldn't find the waiter and after 5 minutes I walked over to the bar. The bar was empty and the bartender was just handling the service bar but he seemed harried and overwhelmed. I asked him for a glass of wine and he said he didn't have any there. Back to table and forget the wine. The waiter asked how dinner was as I was placing last bite in my mouth. He then disappeared again and we had to eventually pile our plates up again at the end of the table to get them cleared. The restaurant was half empty at this point. We were seated 35 minutes after our reservation. We waited forever for the waiter to deliver even the tiniest of tasks. The waiter never smiled nor engaged us, simply went about his work in a robotic manner. Why did we waste the time and money on this? I never will again. I've been to Capital Grill, Mastros, Ruth Chris, etc. They all have good steaks as well. The difference is they at least show some interest in your dining experience. And in every one of those other restaurants I am either visited by or see the manager walking the floor, checking on people's experience. We never saw the manager once that night anywhere in the restaurant. In summary the food was good. Salads ridiculously large, share one. The service and attitude and experience of the staff were abysmal. What a waste of time and money. The ambience and food and prices suggest a fine dining establishment. The reality is you feel more welcome and catered to at an In-N-Out. Don't waste your precious time and money here. They don't seem to care about your experience, they just we ant your money. They are resting on laurels and taking their eye off the ball. I'm sure the restaurant won't bother responding to this review.

If you want a perfectly cooked, high-end steak in the Valley, this is the spot. My ribeye had an incredible char, the truffle mac and cheese was rich and decadent, and the elegant atmosphere makes it perfect for a special night out.
